How it All Started

In 1926, the history and romance of this place attracted Walter H. Morgan, the son of a wealthy businessman from San Francisco. Morgan was captivated by the peaceful sceneries of La Quinta that he asked his contractors to build a small rest house in a secluded area of La Quinta. The site of that rest house is known as Mashall Cove.
After spending some time in La Quinta, the young Mashall started thinking about turning this place into something that shall offer a safe retreat for people who wants to get away from their busy routine. The goal of Morgan at that time was to lure the rich and the famous into the place and provide them with all the comforts that they need to help them relax and have a good time. The La Quinta Hotel and resort was the product of that endeavor and until now, true to its original design, the la Quinta Hotel still serve as a haven for people who wants to relax and enjoy some peace and quite.
From the original design of just a few casitas, this place grew into a big resort with all the amenities of the modern world. However, the good news is that although this place have evolved to accommodate the changes of time and the needs of its guest, the atmosphere of this place remains to be laidback and relax.
