How Can We Help Fight Global Warming
It is scary to imagine the worst that could happen if global warming is a reality. One thing is certain though, we will know if all this was true in a few decades. But instead of waiting to see if global warming is real we should try to avoid the worst before it happens too late for us to react.
Carbon emissions by industrialized nations must be cut down significantly in the next 10 years if we are going to survive the soaring temperatures that re predicted for the next 100 years. It won’t help getting a full face helmet to protect yourself from the heat when you could easily cut down our dependency on fossil fuels to meet our energy requirements. But not doing so on time will see us burn to death or move to another planet.
When the world begins to warm up there are people who will think of getting skin care treatment to protect their skin from the heat. But in actual fact we must be investing in alternative sources of energy. Power can be generated from water when hydro-electric power is tapped and from the wind if wind turbines are used. These sources are clean and they don’t pollute the atmosphere.
One alternative that has been ignored by governments is the possibility of reducing the levels of heat trapped within our atmosphere. Painting roofs white will help to reflect heat back into the universe instead of it being trapped here on earth. With time the world will actually cool down and global warming will be negated.
With the number of cars world wide it is scary to think of how much greenhouse gases are released into the atmosphere every second. The figure is so alarming that you can drop your jaw and never find it. Before it’s too late car manufacturers must be pressured to design cars that don’t release carbon into the atmosphere. Such is the case with water and electricity powered cars.
Planting more trees and reducing deforestation is a way of reducing the levels of carbon in the universe. Plants actually absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere to use it in the process of making its own food. The by product of this process is the oxygen we need to breathe. So if we preserve our rainforests and plant more trees we will actually do our world more good than harm.
The topic of climate change is a very serious one. If nothing is done to stop the rate of global warming we might find ourselves going to a facial spa because the excess heat has melted away layers of our skin. We must all contribute towards the initiative otherwise the end of the world could be sooner than we expected.
