You may be surprised to discover there are many different interior home painting techniques that can be applied to the different types of painting. This allows you to have many more choices when it comes to the overall design of any project in your home. For you to get the best ideas possible, I would recommend you to watch some home interior shows on TV or have a look on the net.

Sponge painting is a very simple way to add some flare to any room in your home. It’s different from traditional techniques as there’s no need of brush. You just use some large sponges that you dip into the paint. You then dab the sponges on the walls and twist and turn them. You can add lots of sponge marks or paint or very few. It all depends on the effect you are trying to accomplish.

The disadvantage of this painting technique is that it must be performed by one person only. Every person has its own style and it can differ very much from one person to the other. Instead of having a well blended effect it is distracting.

Glazing is an effective painting technique that gives you the chance to change the color and texture of the design. The glazing effect makes the painting appear darker so the more coats of it you add the darker color the overall results will be. I strongly recommend you to let each application dry before going on. This way, you’ll get a good appreciation of the result and be able to decide if you want to dark it more or not.

Now, to get a unique and well appreciated design, it’s best to create your own mix of different interior home painting techniques and, that way, create your own. There is no limit to the different interior home painting techniques you can use to decorate your home or even to create beautiful works of art. Don’t be afraid to try out new techniques. Just buy some small amount of the products. Then, try everything you want in a hidden place so that there’s not problem if you don’t like the result.
