Advantages of the Nikon D90 Camera

At first look, the Nikon D90 camera looks like the D80. When I finally got the unit, I needed to check the badge to make sure that I got the right camera.
Because the D90 appears so similar to its predecessor, it seems at first glance that it is one of those subdued incremental upgrades. You are wrong. Look more closely and you will see that the D90 offers cool features that may excite Nikon fans.
Optical viewfinder
Just like the D80 viewfinder, the D90 viewfinder has an 11-point autofocus system arrayed in a diamond arrangement. Still sporting the name Multi-Cam 1000, the autofocus engine of the D90 has been updated to include the 3-dimensional focus tracking. It also features Face Detection, which biases autofocus points in favor of the eyes instead of the nose and other objects in a scene.
Live view
The activation of Live view shooting on other Nikon DSLRs includes turning the Drive Mode dial to Lv. This is hardly intuitive, but the D90 has a Live view button on its back, right of the LCD. It is within easy reach of your thumb.
Scene recognition system
Nikon has been developing the scene recognition system for years; they are now harvesting the fruit of their efforts. Their newest units now have this system. The Nikon D90 comes with this feature.
Overall
Owners of the nice D80 will definitely drool over the D90. Building on the potency of its exceptional predecessor, the D90 has an awful lot going for it. This newest camera from Nikon has upgraded many specs and offers cool and new features over the Nikon D80.
Overall, the D90 is an amazing DSLR offering from Nikon. I highly recommend it.
