Doing a timeline is the best way to stay organized during a wedding photo shoot.  A timeline will help you be prepared for all the shots. It will also make a photographer take shots of great moments. So with that in mind here are some of the important things to do during a wedding.

First thing a photographer must do is to know and consult the family when they would like to pose for the family portrait.  As a San Diego wedding photographer I see that the timing of this is different for every wedding. Some people like to take pictures before the wedding happens. This will allow them to avoid the hectic schedule during and after the wedding. While others would like to do it during the wedding itself. You would perform better because you are more prepared if you just determine when the family would like to take the pictures.

Next, you should determine the exact starting time of the wedding itself. That would enable you to capture shots of the guests that are arriving.  As a San Diego photographer this is a great time to capture candid shots of your guests. You will also have ample time to get ready for the ceremony.

Finally you will want to know what time the reception is.This is important since it would let you know how much time you can have in the wedding itself.  In other words you can figure out what kind of extra shots you can take before running out of time.  Doing wedding as a San Diego event photography allows me to coordinate this big event to run smoothly.  The last thing you want is everything being disorganized.

So, those are some of the most important things that should be put in a wedding timeline. It should help you be better prepared to take some great shots.A wedding can be a very tiring event. It puts a lot of pressure on everybody involved. As a photographer, you would not want pressure to disrupt your work.  You want to be relaxed so you can do the best job possible.
