Everyone wants an HDTV, even if they don’t have an exact idea of what it is. In simple terms, HDTV provides a phenomenally clear television picture. The detail is so good and crisp, it even gives you the illusion that is real. That’s not bad for a television, not bad at all. But this phenomenally great picture came with negatives that made HDTV not so desirable. The gases that were sandwiched between the layers of glass could get very hot after prolonged use. Those among us who are environmentally-conscious were not happy about the use of nitrogen trivialised, the gas used to manufacture the screens. The sets, especially those with the larger screens were energy hogs. But the most obvious drawback was the fact that the TV screens reflected images back, making for an uncomfortable viewing experience. And then Sharp AquoS HDTV hit the scene and changed forever the way most people look at HDTV.

Sharp Aquos HDTV has changed the way a lot of people are looking at and considering high definition television. The Aquos comes with an Energy Star 3 rating; that’s good enough to make the most energy-conscious among us nod in approval. Part of the great energy rating is due to the power saving mode that can be set to adjust to the over-all lighting in the room. This feature is offered on the advanced sets but is considered a real step up in viewing comfort and energy savings.

One aspect of the new televisions that has some people thinking twice before buying is the sometimes awkward task of hooking up all the wires needed to fully use the unit. Once again, Sharp Aquos HDTV has stepped up to the plate. The connection ports are easy to identify and just as easy to reach. Taking the time to read the manual is all that is necessary to ensure all the wires are connected properly.

Across the board, improvements are being made to high-def TVs. The Sharp Aquos HDTV is a leader in the innovations that are making TV viewing more of a movie experience with every improvement. The unit itself, whether the 42-inch or the 52-inch model is selected, is a good-looking piece of technology. It presents a sleek rectangular image with almost-invisible speakers built into the edges. Color is outstanding, it is easy to hook-up and use out of the box, and it is a power saving technology. One of the leaders in the HDTV area.
