When working on a wood project, especially using hardwoods, the craftsman needs tools that delivers power and versatility and one of the tools they often turn to is a DeWalt table saw for straight cuts, angle cuts and even dado grooves. The quick release rip guide fence with sure lock features, enable the user to rip several boards in sequence with the insurance that the width will not change during the process.

At 3,000 RPM, the 10-inch blade can cut through a board as thick as three-inches with ease on a 90-degree straight cut, and just over two-inches thick at a 45-degree angle, making it versatile for small or large projects. Two DeWalt table saw models, the DW746 and DW746X both feature a one and three-quarter horse power electric motor to help power the blade through even the toughest hardwoods.

Convenience and safety features are also built into both models of the woodworking DeWalt table saw, with the on and off switch conveniently located, eliminated the groping around looking for the switch to turn the saw on or off. The dust collection port under the table easily connects to a vacuum system to keep saw dust away from the table and reduce the amount of dust spread around the workshop.

Angle, Depth Adjustments Made With Ease

The blade height and angle adjustment crank handles are located in a position to allow for quick and easy adjustments on both models of DeWalt table saws, and the user’s hands will not be punished against the steel frame of the saw while turning the crank, as there is plenty of clearance around the handle. An extra large bevel scale shows precise angles when cutting corner pieces, and knowing that each turn of the handle moves the blade two degrees helps make precise cuts.

Dado blades are used for cutting grooves in wood for shelving support or when fitting pieces together, without the need for a router, and the DeWalt table saw models can accommodate blades up to three-fourths of an inch wide.

When rip cutting longer boards, the table top slides out to help hold the material level with the rest of the table and a table extension is available to hold even longer boards while ripping them lengthwise. Many of the newer innovations to the DeWalt table saw is a result of user interaction with the company, which has designed the DeWalt table saw to perform to the expectations of the professional, as well as home, users.
