Ways to Lower Cholesterol

A serious health concern is being created that is affecting a lot of people. It isn’t nuclear physics as to why. A major part of the reason is that people are consumming too much food that is high in bad cholesterol. Since this is the situation there ought to be very simple natural ways to lower cholesterol. Why not give them a try before taking the drug based options.
Three Simple Things to Lower Bad Cholesterol
First, change your diet. Wow, that hurts. You’ve heard it before and you’ll hear it again but buck up it’s easier than dealing with heart disease. So here it is again:
a) Beans, vegetables, whole grains and fruits. Soluble fiber is the key here; it helps reduce bad (LDL) cholesterol.
b) Avoid eating foods from animals because animal tissue is ripe with cholesterol. Animals have livers and livers produce cholesterol.
c) At least 3 times a week eat fish high in Omega 3 fatty acids or at least a proportionate supplement.
d) Take red rice yeast supplements every day.
Second, sorry to add injury to insult here but, you need to get some exercise. The odds of benefiting from the natural ways to lower cholesterol aren’t that good without some exercise. Both the way we eat and our metabolism is profoundly affected by both our body weight and lifestyle.
Third and in fact part of step one, this one is easy and worth having its own step. As part of your daily routine there are some dietary supplements that are excellent for lowering cholesterol naurally that should be taken. Understanding it may require several months to see the results patience is usually well worth it. As mentioned above fish oil and red rice yeast are two excellent supplements.
It’s just that simple. It really is up to you. It is possible to control bad cholesterol by natural means but there aren’t any mystic elixers for it. Some time, a little effort and determination should do the trick though.
