Aguirre the Wrath of God: Commanding, spellbinding story of misled conquistador who leads a group of gentlemen away from Pizarro’s 1560 South American journey looking for 7 cities of gold. Dreamlike film was shot on location in remote Amazon forests; Kinski is perfect as the crazy Aguirre. Cast includes Klaus Kinski, Ruy Guerra, Del Negro, Helena Rojo, Cecilia Rivera, and Peter Berling. (94 minutes, 1972)

Repo Man: Immediate cult-film in regards to a new wave delinquent who takes a job recouping automobiles. Mixes satire and science fiction with involving outcomes, albeit a little of this film goes a long way. Stanton is perfect as a repo guy who shows Estevez the business. Cast includes Emilio Estevez, Harry Dean Stanton, Vonetta McGee, Olivia Barash, Sy Richardson, Tracey Walter, Susan Bames, and Fox Harris. (92 minutes, 1984)

Choices: Fractionally deaf adolescent Carafotes becomes disillusioned while stopped from playing football due to his hearing problems. Well intentioned although evident drama is helped by a fine set of acting jobs. Cast includes Paul Carafotes, Victor French, Lelia Goldoni, Dennis Patrick, Demi Moore, Billy Moses, and Pat Buttram. (90 minutes, 1981)

The Cheyenne Communal Club: Jimmy inherits and runs a bawdy home in the Old West. The film has lots of chuckles, although stereotypes are thick throughout the film. Cast includes Henry Fonda, James Stewart, Shirley Jones, Sue Ane Langdon, and Elaine Devry. (1003minutes, 1970)

The Music Man: Peerless Preston reprises his Broadway role as a terrific sales associate con guy Prof. Harold Hil who captivates Iowa town with visions of uniformed marching band. Cast includes Robert Preston, Shirley Jones, Friend Hackett, Hermione Gingold, Paul Ford, Pert Kelton, and Ronny Howard. (151 minutes, 1962)

Kimberley Jim: Little musical of 2 carefree gamblers who win a fortune in a fixed poker game, and then have a change of heart. Cast includes Jim Reeves, Madeleine Guide, Clive Pamell, Arthur Swemmer, and Mike Holt. (82 minutes, 1965)

The Littlest Horse Thieves: Well-made Disney period piece filmed in England, in reference to 3 kids’s attempts to spare ponies who work the mines from neglect and mistreatment. Set at the turn of the century. Cast includes Alastair Sim, Peter Barkworth, Maurice Colbourne, Susan Tebbs, Andrew Harrison, and Chloe Franks. (104 minutes, 1977)

The General: One of Keaton’s best silent films, setting comedy contrary to real Civil Battle tale of stolen train, and Union spies. Not as fanciful as other Keaton films, although beautifully finished. Cast includes Buster Keaton, Marion Mack, Glen Cavender, Jim Farley, and Joseph Keaton. (100 minutes, 1984)

The Day the Hot Line Got Hot: Weak try at espionage as spies mess up the Moscow Washington hot line, leading to global disaster. This was Robert Taylor’s very last performance. Cast includes Robert Taylor, Charles Boyer, George Chakiris, Dominique Fabre, and Gerard Tichy. (92 minutes, 1969)
