When attending an audition for commercials, here’s what you should expect. It can get very busy and even disorganized at times during a TV commercial auditions. At these auditions there are usually a lot of people there with specific jobs. You’ll see mostly casting directors and maybe producers.

At the Commercial Audition

It’ll be good to be social able and friendly to everyone that you meet. The reason being is that it will take you farther and you never know who you interact with. The person you talk to may look like a run-of-the-mill crew person, but in actuality is the lead casting director.

Be sure to stay social so that you get the butterflies out. Calm yourself down by closing your eyes and breathing deeply.

At a commercial audition, casting directors will have already seen a lot of candidates when it comes to your turn. If you add on top of that a bad attitude, it’ll mess up your chances of getting the role. Be sure to dress and act professional.

It’ll finally come to your chance to introduce yourself and do so with a smile. You’ll slate yourself by telling them your name and the agency you are with. In commercial auditions, you’ll most likely be asked to say some lines in the commercials so that the casting directors can decide if you’re the one for the role or not.
