Keep your resume and professionally taken headshot photo with you so that you can give it to the casting directors. If you represent an agency, let the casting directors know who the agent is. If you don’t have an agent, you may want to consider getting one because they only get paid when they find you a job.
Depending on what type of commercial it is, you may be asked to do a variety of things. To keep on your toes, you should take an improv class so that you can think quickly. The TV commercial casting directors will ask you to read lines from the commercials so they can determine if you are a right fit for the role.
