However, it can be said that a home theatre or a home cinema can usually be afforded by individuals who are well-to-do. This is because the budget for a home theatre can range from $1000 to $1,000,000. A normal home cinema setup will cost you no more than $3000.

But the cost won’t surely discourage you if you know how to budget wisely. There are many cost-effective speakers you can buy out there that can produce sound satisfyingly while you are trying to reduce your expenses for a projector. Remember, good budgeting is the key!

A home theatre setup will usually comprise of a DVD player, an amplifier, a projector, a screen and speakers. Although LCD or Plasma TV could be used, the experience you can gain from using a proper projector and screen setup is beyond compare. Watching a movie at home using a big screen will give you the feeling of watching a movie at a real movie theatre.

When buying a DVD player, you can opt for purchasing a Blu-Ray player since it is now the only hi-definition movie format available nowadays. Besides, this player is reasonably priced, which can be bought around $300. In fact, a quality Blu-Ray player can give you a home theatre watching experience that you will not regret, but of course the movie you watch must also be worth-watching otherwise, you won’t be fully satisfied.

A home theatre amplifier will be your next purchase. These are not like stereo amplifiers. When buying a home theatre amplifier, choose the one that is just suitable for your room. Some of these amplifiers can decode the latest sound formats. Other amplifiers can switch your video in multiple inputs and outputs, which are truly functional. Of course, it would be great to purchase a home theatre amplifier that consists all of those features just mentioned.

The next important device to purchase is speakers. When buying speakers, you should have in mind your amplifier because they should go with your amplifier. A typical home theatre setup will need five main speakers plus one subwoofer. But if you want to experience a very lively home theatre watching experience, purchase a speaker package that consist of high-quality subwoofer. Place these speakers surrounding the watching area.

Of course, your home theatre will not look like one if you have no projector and screen. When buying a projector and screen, you will have to consider the size of your room and the level of ambient light when watching. The most preferable of these kinds are the brightest ones and with high-contrast. So if you can afford a model projector and screen of this type, the better!
