Many Famous Figures Tweet and Drive
Wednesday, November 4th, 2009    Subscribe To Our FeedAfter reading a poll in which it was stated that 1 in 10 people risk their lives by tweeting in the car I thought it would be amusing to put together a list of famous fictional celebrities who might be one of these people that ilegally use Twitter when driving.
Dr. Emmet Brown from the brilliant Back to the Future trilogy
Emmet Brown {{is famous for inventing the time machine and using a DeLorean for it, he must have gone forward in time to get the technology he needed to be able to use Twitter}~is famous for inventing the time machine and using a DeLorean for it, he must have gone forward in time to get the technology he needed to be able to Tweet away}~{is famous for inventing the time machine and using a DeLorean for it, he must have gone forward in time to get the technology he needed to be able to use Twitter}~is famous for inventing the time machine and using a DeLorean for it, he must have gone forward in time to get the technology he needed to be able to Tweet away}. Was is Emmet suspected of using Twitter whilst driving? The gull-wing doors fitted on the car of course.
Del Boy from Only Fools and Horses
This British guy has got to love Tweeting whilst he is driving simple because he owns one of the brilliant Reliant Robins, he also does a few dodgey deals that are not strictly legal so this could perhaps be another reason for him doing it.
Caractacus Pott
This guy is of course responsible for the invention of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang itself and he surely had Twitter in mind when he was putting the wings onto the car. However flying around in a car is certainly not going to stop him from being pulled over!
In all seriousness, tweeting whilst driving is the same as being in a phone call or texting, it is against the law and is a law for one reason alone. It is there to make sure that people concentrate on the road when driving, so next time you fancy logging onto Twitter of Facebook make sure you pull over first and then use your phone.
The law is the same for used cars and yes it even applies if you own a Mercedes or of course Volkswagen so make sure that you just double check you are not tweeting, texting or taking a call when you are driving because if you are caught in can result in a big fine.
