Sky are offering a free Sky+ set top box to all new consumers taking up a TV subscription and taking advantage of free broadband and phone calls. You can get your free sky Plus box today. Sky Plus is Sky’s TV box which has built in record options. There is also a more expensive Sky+ HD digibox available, but this is not on offer on the free digibox deal. When placing an order for your complimentary Sky+ box, it’s important to know if you want to take advantage of broadband and home phone options - more detail follows.

Sky Internet

Sky provide new customers three versions of Sky Broadband:

Sky Internet Base

With speeds up to 2 megabits per second, this is the basic Sky Broadband option. It is free to subscribers taking up Sky Phone as an option of their Sky deal, or £5 otherwise. Remember Sky Phone is free for off peak calls, so it’s a good idea to take the call plan for the reduced Internet cost. There is a maximum transfer limit on Sky Broadband Base of 2Gb per month.

Sky Broadband Mid

This version is for customers requiring a bit more from their Broadband connections, perhaps for getting the odd film clip or downloading music often. Capped at 8 megabits a second, with a 40Gb transfer limit, this is a common selection and one of the reasons for Sky’s Internet success. Priced at just £5 a month for Sky Phone customers (or £10 if you don’t include Sky Talk in your package), its one of the cheapest Broadband options on the market for the connection speed.

Sky Broadband Max

At the time of writing, we don’t know of any alternative wholly uncapped Broadband product at £10 per month (£15 if you don’t have Sky Phone). Supporting up to 16 megabits connections, it is likely that the lone restriction will be what your land line can produce!
