What You Need to Know about the 2012 Predictions

The 2012 predictions include everything from aliens, to world annihilation, to a rebirth of human knowledge. So what is all the fuss about? Didn’t people say the same stuff around 2000 during the Y2K scare? Last time it was Nostradamus that predicted the end of the world. Why should we believe the Mayans, who may or may not have been visited by aliens?
First, we need to recognize the Mayan calendar is the most accurate calendar. It is more accurate than the standard calendar we use in Western Cultures. This is significant because the calendar was created before it was common knowledge that the world was round. It was created when the majority of the world thought that the Earth was the center of the solar system and the planets and the sun revolved around it. It correctly predicts the solstices. Then, in an amazing feat of architecture, a shadow in the shape of a serpent slithers down the stairs of a wondrous pyramid in Chitzen Itza. That is some pretty amazing stuff for people who didn’t have any modern tools like bull dozers and cranes, much less calculators and computers.
This great calendar ends on the winter solstice of 2012. That means lots of people are making December 21, 2012 predictions. While I seriously doubt that at the dawn of December 21, 2012, when the Sun and Earth align forming the cosmic cross of elliptical patterns, that the world will suddenly end, I do believe there is evidence for a change. Again, I doubt the change will happen exactly on December 21, 2012. However with the date is only 3 ½ years away, and the Earth and its people are indeed showing signs of change.
We need to prepare for this change. Information is the key to power. There are many sites about the 2012 prophecies.
